September has more joy than she ever thought possible in this life.  She lives a life of perpetual motion, loving the man that has protected her heart for 23 years, while raising 10 children to be more like their personal Savior. While tending to the hearts of little ones, sharing the joys and hard days with her middle children, and watching her oldest children live out their faith, September rejoices that God alone is her strength through each season.  September has a heart for encouraging women in motherhood, and the humility of “being real.” Her journey through loss and tragedy has taught her to be sensitive to the pain in other’s lives.  While managing her home, she finds new perspective daily, and has been able to share that with discipleship’s, speaking, and writing.

You can read September’s e-book, Hula Hoop Girl, written for women who might try and “do it all.”  It is written to the heart of women to encourage them to find their identity in Christ, and to keep their home/family as a sacred place.

You will find September writing at One September Day, and also as a  contributing writer for MODsquad and Allume. She leads and hosts Mom Heart Small Groups within her home, and loves sharing with mom’s encouragement and hope.  Between laundry and life- her heart is to encourage.  Connect with September on Faceboook and twitter @septemberanne

Renee Parris

renee parris

Renee Parris blogs and writes about many topics but has a passion for moms of special needs children or those moms who have struggled with infertility, miscarriage, premature birth, stillborn death or other losses associated with children. She is a display of God’s grace. Her world is filled with an amazing husband of nearly 27 years (Mike), 6 children (4 of whom live in Heaven), foster children, family, and a host of friends…all whom have woven the fabric of their hearts into the quilt of her life.Renee has a burning desire to share her heart through written words. God has so graciously given her a stirring and heartbeat to reach those around her with God’s love and mercy. As a woman trying to love her husband, nurture her children, and support her friends, she lives everyday knowing, without reservation, that God is at the center of everything that is true and lasting.

In the first 14 years of marriage, Mike and Renee experienced years of infertility and 3 miscarriages, each pregnancy lasting longer than the previous. Then on September 24, 1999, Emma Grace Parris entered the world much too soon, at 27 weeks gestation and weighing 2 lbs and 12 ounces. Emma had serious complications from the moment of her birth and spent the first four months of her life in the neonatal units of two different Chicago area hospitals. Today at nearly 13 years of age, Emma is still very complex and medically fragile. When Emma was about 15 months old, Renee became pregnant with a son, Jonathan Michael. He was stillborn on August 22, 2002. After five devastating pregnancies, Mike and Renee were resigned to giving themselves wholeheartedly to providing the best quality of life possible for Emma Grace. However, God, in His wonderful ways and sense of humor, gave them an unexpected blessing in the form of a surprise pregnancy. For nine months they worried, prayed, fretted, begged, and prayed some more. On April 22, 2004, Spencer Michael Parris entered their world and has changed it forever. Born with pneumonia, Spencer has mild asthma but is otherwise healthy. He is the joy in their world, the sun in their sky. He is an amazing brother to Emma Grace.

Renee blogs at hearmyheartbeat.org. She treasures relationships, music, tea, English literature, the ocean and fresh flowers.

Alli Pluim

alli-bio-pic

Hi I’m Alli, an American-city-girl turned Canadian-farmer’s-wife, learning daily how God’s plans for me are far and above anything than I could have dreamed for myself- even if they look a little (OK a lot!) different than “my” plans. Grateful to still be learning how to love well the patient farmer after 16 years, and blessed beyond measure to mother and school two amazing, delightful girls and my sweet baby boy from Ethiopia.

I love to learn, create and be surrounded by beauty in the little things. I am an interior designer by trade but keep trying to hang up that hat in order to live intentionally in this season, to slow and be present, to serve and to love whomever happens to be at the farm! Oh- there is that little bit about being a recovering food addict… but I’m sure we’ll have time for that later! I love to share life with others so thanks for being willing to open a bit of yourself up as you take a bit from me.
